Press release for Chatsworth Agricultural Society Pavilion

NEW PAVILION COMING SOON
The Chatsworth Agricultural Society is happy to announce that they are well on the way to building a new Pavilion at the site of the old Community Centre in Chatsworth. The Pavilion will be a focal point of the new Recreational Green Space that is planned for the site where the new Community Hub will be built.
Since the demolition of the old Community Centre the space has been empty. According to Agricultural Society president Joanne Anderson, hosting community events such as Halloween in the Village and Christmas in the Village have been challenging for the Agricultural Society. A shelter is needed to provide a place for the community to meet, host events and socialize.
There has been a lot of recent activity at the site as members of the Agricultural Society and the Community Hub Committee work together to prepare the area where the Pavilion will be built.
Community support has been strong for the Pavilion Project. Since it was announced, individual donations have exceeded 200,000 dollars allowing for building to commence. Applications for the needed permits have been made and the hope is that approvals will be received in time to begin building this fall.
There has been enough money raised to get the construction started this fall. Further fundraising is needed to complete the building including washrooms and a kitchen.
